Hill Tech Solutions has been named the winner of the 2023 Harford Award in the R&D/Technology category.

Awarded by the Harford County Chamber of Commerce, the Harford Award “recognizes and honors businesses or organizations each year that manifest a strong commitment to the Harford County business community. Recipients of this distinguished honor are chosen through a nomination process focused on business growth, increased employment, service to the community, unique and creative business strategies, technology innovation, support of public and private education, and a drive to enhance Harford County’s business climate.”

In accepting the award, Hill Tech Solutions Founder and Principal Consultant Ron Hill noted the company’s eight-year trajectory of growth from a firm with two employees serving three clients to its current roster of 25 clients representing approximately 700 computer users, served by a team of seven employees.

Hill pointed out the challenges of not only growing a business, but doing so in the face of a rapidly-changing and increasingly dangerous cybersecurity landscape, mentioning Hill Tech’s mission of keeping clients safe to allow them to better focus on their businesses.

Hill continued: “Small businesses create more than two-thirds of all net new jobs, and account for 44 percent of U.S. economic activity. We’re proud to be one of those businesses, and to serve and support those businesses so they can continue to grow as well.”

Hill Tech Solutions is based in Harford County, Maryland, and has also been named to the prestigious Channel Futures NextGen 101 list for three consecutive years.
